
Knowehead, is situated on the banks of Loch Kendoon with views of the countryside , offers spacious accommodation for up to 8 people. The accommodation includes a wonderful dining area with picture windows giving breathtaking views of the loch and hills beyond, Star gazing to enjoy the best that the Dark Sky Park offers.
We offer Peace and tranquillity together with wildlife right on the doorstep; if you are looking for stars, red squirrels, stags and ospreys look no further
Knowehead Cottage is a modernised traditional Galloway cottage with accommodation over two floors.
The house was recently extended to provide accommodation on the ground floor consisting of:
Front entrance hall
Dinning room with window wall views of the loch and sun lounge area
Kitchen/Breakfast room
Sitting room with open fire, bench seats, with stunning views overlooking the loch
Bunk bedroom (sleeps 4/6 ) – with 2 full size bunks and 4 x 5’6’’ bunks
Family bathroom with an over bath shower
Drying room and rear hall.washing machine and tumble dryer
The first floor comprises:
Master Bedroom with king size bed and en suite dual shower
Double bedroom – both rooms have views of the Loch Kendoon.
It should be noted that the first floor bedrooms have dormer windows and coombe ceilings resulting in restricted headroom in parts, in addition, the stair is narrow and steep with a half step cut into the landing area which may cause difficulty for those with restricted mobility.
You have access to the whole property except one small cupboard that we keep our personal belonging in for when we come and stay.

The property has external CCTV and a burglar alarm. Electric heating, we are on a private water supply but it is tested annually and is drinkable sometimes it is a little cloudy but absolutely fine to drink.
We are based in Suffolk but we have a cleaner and caretaker living locally to help if you have any problems. There numbers are in the information folder at the Cottage
